Special thanks to Mrs. Claus for conducting story time at Friedman Branch today. A little birdy told us that her husband, Santa, is bringing a really nice present to the branch and its patrons in 2017. Be on the lookout for more information about it.

The 2016 ARCPLS Holiday Event was a success! As always, hats off to Director Mashell Fashion for sponsoring the activity. Member Ronic West brought inspiring words on behalf of the wonderful Library Board of Trustees. Event Chairs Russell Liner and LaShette Rice oversaw the fun and games, like Bobbing For Candy Canes and the left-right Santa Trial Story. Roger brought delightful, live holiday music. Fat Man's sent us phenomenal food (as usual). Quantel and Reggie made sure the room was prepped and cleaned up.

Ms. Fashion introduced 2017 program committees that all staff are now assigned to participate on and support. Special thanks to Cheryl Corbin for her contributions to these efforts. Finally, a special shout out to all of the staff, retirees (Hey Ms. Brenda!), friends and family who attended and made the affair so special. All had a wonderful time and left with a small token of appreciation.

We're looking forward to having more activities like this in 2017 to show our staff how much they are appreciated. When you're in one of our locations this holiday season, please share a few kind words with them to let them know you feel the same.

From the entire ARCPLS Family, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
