Today's ARCPLS Friday Happy Face goes to...
the 2016 Star Wars Reads Day Committee led by Community Volunteer Program Manager Corey Rogers.
Cam Logan, Aspasia Luster, Sarah Lynne Pacetti and others are actively working to make this year's event phenomenal (tag yourselves in the comments if we left you out and we'll add you to this list:-)!

This Sunday marks the beginning of the 2016 SWRD Season at ARCPLS. They're marking this observance by meeting with the public to view Episode I: The Phantom Menace and beginning a viewing/book discussion about plot points and other Star Wars information. They'll be doing the same every Sunday (except for the Labor Day holiday weekend) leading up to the Saturday, October 8th event.

Come out and join our dedicated crew of volunteers and fans as they initiate you into their club of CSRA Star Wars fans and set the stage for what promises to be the best Star Wars Reads Day observance in the area.

On behalf of Library Director, Mashell Yvonne Fashion, thanks for all of your hard work and have a happy weekend.

Today's ARCPLS Friday Happy Face goes to...
the staff of the Wallace Branch Library.

Bill Gray, Branch Manager, writes:
"A patron who is familiar to us here at Wallace, but not by name, delivered these trophies to us. Each is inscribed with our respective names and the words "A Good Job."

He said something like "I've been watching y'all and y'all do a good job. I don't think the community appreciates it enough", and, with that, he went out the door."

The staff is pictured below with their trophies:
Horace Hannah
Myrtice Thomas, Experience Works intern

On behalf of Library Director, Mashell Yvonne Fashion, thanks for all of your hard work and have a happy weekend.
